Custodial Services Supervisor

Schedule: Full-time
Monday-Friday
6:00AM – 2:30PM

(30-min lunch break)

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Custodial Services Supervisor for our janitorial crew. This role is crucial to the efficiency and quality of service we provide for our clients. The CSS will manage, coordinate, and oversee daily cleaning operations of the facility and the cleaning staff, while demonstrating strong teamwork characteristics in assisting with cleaning tasks, as well.

Duties include the following:

· Overseeing and managing the janitorial crew

· Implementing daily work schedules for the crew and delegating work, ensuring timeliness aligns with the set schedules provided by corporate

· Initiate and host daily check-ins and meetings with the team to ensure adequate efficiency

· Perform quality inspections on all completed work

· Maintain inventory for supplies and cleaning chemicals

· Assist with the hiring, onboarding, and training for new employees

· Regularly communicate with the HR Department, colleagues, vendors, and our clients daily; must be proficient with using Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and office equipment (computers/laptops, printers, work phones, radios, etc.)

· Assisting with daily cleaning operations, performing hands on work as needed…

• General cleaning will consist of cleaning offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and any additional common areas; including dusting and wiping surfaces, sanitizing surfaces, window cleaning, and emptying and relining trash bins.
• Floor care will consist of sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing and polishing floors.
• Misting with backpack mister, wearing full Tyvek bodysuit, goggles and respirator as needed (training provided).

· Willingness to be cross-trained in warehouse operations; will be working on the warehouse floor and will be operating and training on industrial equipment operations (forklifts, tuggers, and balers)

Job Qualifications/Skills:
21+ years of age
High school diploma or GED
Clean background (no felonies or misdemeanors)
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, but not required)
3+ years of experience in managerial fields
3+ years of experience in cleaning fields such as janitorial, custodial, and industrial cleaning

The Custodial Services Supervisor must have the ability to represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining physical appearance (uniforms provided), and must be comfortable maintaining professional relationships with our clients and vendors. The CSS must have a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and policies, as well as local requirements in relation to all assigned work.

Physical Requirements:

• Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift, up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds. Must comply with any dress code requirements.

Working Conditions:

• Generally, in an indoor office and/or warehouse setting, however, may participate in outside activities and events. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the work environment or governmental regulations. Will be exposed to various cleaning chemicals.
