Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a team of landscape maintenance workers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
- Lead landscaping activities including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and edging to enhance outdoor aesthetics
- Oversee lawn care routines such as fertilization, aeration, and weed control to promote healthy turf growth
- Manage irrigation systems, perform repairs, and adjust watering schedules to optimize water efficiency
- Conduct tree care tasks including pruning, removal, and health assessments to maintain safety and beauty
- Ensure adherence to safety standards by training crew members on proper equipment use and safe work practices
- Assist with construction projects like installing new landscapes or hardscapes when needed
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant health and garden care
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor maintenance environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques, irrigation systems, tree care practices, and gardening fundamentals
- Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape installation or renovation projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong communication skills for effective team leadership and client interactions
