These PHEs offer our clients high reliability of heat transfer, low capital investment and installation costs, reducing maintenance, operating costs, wear, and corrosion.
Job Summary:
As a Crate Builder I you will be responsible for crafting prototypes and samples according to detailed design specifications. You will collaborate closely with designers and engineers to support the product development process, ensuring precision and quality in your work. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to bring concepts to life through creative problem-solving and skilled craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Interpret design specifications and technical drawings to create accurate prototypes and samples.
· Select appropriate materials and tools for sample making based on project requirements.
· Cut, sew, assemble, and finish samples using various techniques and equipment.
· Ensure prototypes meet quality standards and design expectations.
· Collaborate with designers and engineers to troubleshoot and refine prototypes as needed.
· Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
· Assist in the development of new products by providing feedback based on sample making experience.
· Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Keep abreast of industry trends and techniques related to sample making and manufacturing processes.
· Obtain/maintain certifications as needed.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Vocational training or certification in sample making, pattern making, or a related field preferred
· Proven experience as a Sample Maker or similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or design environment
· Proficiency in using cutting tools, and other sample making equipment
· Strong understanding of construction and fabrication techniques
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
· Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
· Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
· Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
· Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
· Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing/production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machining fluids.
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

Work Status: Full Time – Work hours are Monday through Friday and depend on assigned shift. Flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
