Reporting to senior leadership, the Corporate Controller will oversee a broad range of financial management responsibilities for a group of companies operating within the construction and property management sector. The role includes responsibility for financial reporting, consolidations, cash flow management, budgeting, and supporting operational decision-making across more than various legal entities and subsidiaries.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accumulation, review, and consolidation of financial information across multiple entities within the Group of Companies.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual properties and corporate entities.
- Prepare consolidated financial reporting and supporting working papers.
- Support treasury and cash flow management activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate year-end activities and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Prepare and maintain working papers to support corporate income tax return preparation.
- Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the accounting team to support day-to-day operations and mentor team members where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation required (or equivalent senior accounting designation).
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior finance leader preferred.
- Experience working with multiple entities and consolidated reporting environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a relationship-focused approach.
Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
