Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Cook specializing in short order food preparation to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing quick, high-quality meals for our members and guests, ensuring food safety standards are maintained while delivering outstanding service. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of short order dishes with speed and precision to meet customer expectations
- Follow standardized recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning based on daily specials or special events to enhance dining options
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service
- Support catering functions by preparing food for events or large groups as needed
Experience
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment, particularly with short order cooking or grill stations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Culinary experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation skills
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and knives—demonstrating strong knife skills
- Experience working in fine dining settings or catering environments is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
