This temporary full-time position offers a chance to contribute to a positive team environment while preparing meals and ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly. You will engage with residents at mealtime, oversee food safety practices, and manage inventory. Ideal candidates are organized and committed to providing excellent service to support our seniors’ well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and bake desserts and soups for residents
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
• Rotate and date food stock appropriately
• Collaborate with team members for meal service coordination
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding cleanup
Requirements:
• Secondary school completion required
• Culinary program completion or proven cooking experience
• Food Safe Certification essential
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Current TB test and immunization record needed
