We are seeking a COOK at 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, ON P0B 1G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
● Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes in accordance with resort recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
● Prepare a variety of Italian, steakhouse, continental, and seasonal menu items including house-made pastas, wood-fired pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, soups, sauces, and desserts.
● Ensure high-quality food preparation and timely service in a fast-paced luxury hotel kitchen environment.
● Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, plating, and food quality while following Marriott brand standards and kitchen procedures.
● Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies while minimizing waste and controlling food costs.
● Inspect kitchen equipment and workstations to ensure cleanliness, proper operation, and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
● Assist in preparing daily features, banquet items, and seasonal menu offerings based on guest demand and chef instructions.
● Train and support kitchen helpers and junior staff in food preparation techniques, safe food handling practices, and workstation organization.
● Maintain records of food usage, storage temperatures, and kitchen sanitation in compliance with health and safety standards.
● Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff during high-volume meal periods, private events, and resort functions to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent
Language: English
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
Hourly Salary: for 30 hours to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
