We're hiring someone to make videos for a dating app.
Which, yes, is a cursed job description.
Dating app content is some of the most skipped, muted, and aggressively ignored content on the internet. Everyone knows it. Nobody fixes it.
We're trying to fix it.
wüdya is a compatibility-first dating app built for people who are tired of making snap decisions based on a blurry gym selfie, three prompt answers, and a bio that says “fluent in sarcasm.”
We think dating apps got worse when they started optimizing for endless browsing instead of better decisions. So we built something different.
Now we need someone to help make Reels and TikToks that don't make people want to throw their phone into a lake.
You might be the right person if:
- You’ve sent a dating app screenshot to a group chat as a warning
- You understand why something is funny before you can explain it
- You’ve made a video that got more views than expected and you’re still not totally sure why
- You genuinely enjoy making stuff
You’re probably not the right person if:
- Your portfolio is mostly brand deals for protein powder
- You need a 3-week brief to make a 15-second video
- You think “going viral” is a strategy
Contract role. Flexible. Remote is fine. Toronto area is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker.
