Job DescriptionHiring Construction General Labor for one of our clients in Scarborough, ON.
Fluent in EnglishResponsibilities:
Ability to do physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, lengthy standing or walking, or pushing or hauling large objects or supplies
Help with insulation, plasterboard, tape and mud, steel stud framing, wood framing, painting and plasterboard.
Demolition, finishing cement, restoring concrete, and removing forms.
Understanding of the procedures, techniques, machinery, supplies, and tools utilized on a building site.
Use heavy equipment
Participate in site inspections and actively promote the development of an onsite culture of health and safety by setting an example for others.
Obey supervisory orders to carry out manual labor responsibilities
Make sure to clean and properly store all tools and equipment for construction.
Observe directions and work both individually and as a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Construction or Painting experience (1-3 years)
Valid G license with clean abstract
Must have valid work permit
Fluent in Spanish and English
Other valid health and safety certifications will be an asset
Experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing will be an asset
Must have knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Confidence to practice safe work procedures and comfortable working at heights
Valid WHMIS Training
Job type: Full-time
Shifts: 9:00 am-5:30 pm Monday-Friday
