We are seeking a highly organized Construction Project Manager who shares the same core values. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully completing property remodel projects within allotted timelines and budgets. This position demands strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. With properties spread across Dothan and surrounding Wiregrass area, daily travel is an integral part of the role. Our business thrives thanks to a skilled and dedicated team, and we are looking for someone who will contribute to that growth.
Responsibilities:
- Find, hire, lead and manage contractors and resources to ensure project goals are achieved and high-quality standards are consistently met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Develop detailed project schedules, scopes of service, and budgets to guide successful execution.
- Monitor project costs and control expenses, ensuring projects are completed within a pre-approved budget.
- Communicate regularly with construction crews to assess project material needs and ensure timely deliveries of materials/supplies to worksites.
- Perform regular site inspections and quality control checks – attention to detail is a must.
- Establish and maintain processes for managing projects during the entire project lifecycle, set quality and performance standards, and assess risks.
- Manage all aspects of projects. React quickly to unplanned events and devise contingency plans as needed. Report outcomes/risks to management and escalate issues as they occur.
- Provide daily updates on projects to management.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
- Become proficient in the technology and tools we provide and identify additional technology or tools that can improve processes/efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of construction project management experience.
- Knowledge of basic construction/remodeling terms and practices.
- Strong adherence to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a remodeling project lifecycle.
- Exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Close attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Contractor or home builder license a plus.
- Experience utilizing relevant Work/Project management technology tools (ex. Monday.com, MagicPlan) preferred.
- Candidates must be based in the Greater Dothan area to support regular on-site project oversight.
- Reliable transportation is required. A pickup truck or similar vehicle suitable for construction site visits is preferred but not required.
- Occasional weekend hours may be required in rare circumstances.
Additional compensation:
- Remodel Completion Performance Bonus.
