Construction Laborer/Operator Jobs in West Bend, WI at R & K EXCAVATING INC
Assist with excavation of basements, trenches, backfills and grade specifications with various heavy equipment.
Applicant Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
- Experience with loading and securing equipment a plus.
- Able to work in confined spaces and open trenches
- Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn
- Able to work unsupervised as well as with others
- Use hand tools and various heavy machinery
- Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where work will be performed
- Read & interpret blueprints (surveys, lot & grading plans), short correspondence, and memos
This position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor. The position requires good manual dexterity and coordination. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, cold, heat and humidity all year round.
Working hours vary from 6am to 6pm with overtime potential, including weekends
