Richview Renovations and Restorations LTD. is currently seeking a Construction Estimator to support complex renovation and restoration initiatives through advanced technical estimating, scope analysis, contractual interpretation, and structured coordination of multidisciplinary construction processes.
This position requires the ability to operate within highly synchronized project environments involving simultaneous tender preparation, quantity take-off development, regulatory review, and digital workflow integration utilizing both conventional and AI-assisted construction technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute structured retrieval, interpretation, and technical analysis of tender documentation, contractual materials, project specifications, and scope-of-work definitions required to support comprehensive pricing strategies.
- Develop detailed cost estimates through high-precision quantity take-offs, labour allocation modelling, material forecasting, subcontractor pricing evaluation, and contractual obligation analysis.
- Interpret and correlate complex multidisciplinary construction documentation including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings presented in both traditional drafting and BIM-integrated digital formats.
- Utilize advanced digital construction environments including Microsoft Office platforms, Autodesk applications, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera scheduling systems, and centralized cost database frameworks to support documentation control and project costing.
- Implement multimodal AI-assisted construction technologies to enhance technical documentation analysis, improve efficiency of scope interpretation, and support cross-project coordination workflows.
- Maintain structured cost reporting systems and perform large-volume data analysis through advanced Excel methodologies to support ongoing pricing validation and project reporting.
- Apply working-level regulatory awareness of Ontario Building Code provisions, including Part 3 and Part 9 considerations, to support compliance-oriented estimation and planning activities.
- Coordinate communication between subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate dissemination of specifications and alignment of execution requirements.
- Support value engineering methodologies through analytical comparison of construction alternatives and optimization of cost-efficiency strategies.
- Participate in technical risk identification, corrective action planning, and multidisciplinary problem-resolution activities.
- Manage multiple concurrent renovation and restoration assignments requiring high levels of scheduling coordination and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
- College diploma in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive Canadian Experience in construction estimating, tender preparation, and technical documentation analysis within renovation or restoration project environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting multidisciplinary construction drawings, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Advanced knowledge of construction estimation platforms, scheduling tools, and digital collaboration systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation management capabilities.
- Experience utilizing AI-supported construction workflow technologies is considered an asset.
