Job Description

This is a temporary, on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer based in Surrey, BC, with a strong focus on Amada turret punch systems—specifically the EMK M2e series.

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing our Amada EMK M2e turret punch machine. Daily tasks will include creating and refining CNC programs, troubleshooting programming and tooling issues, optimizing tool paths and nesting strategies, and ensuring efficient, reliable sheet metal production.

You will work closely with our production team to improve workflow, reduce cycle times, and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in manufactured components.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience programming and operating Amada turret punch machines (EMK M2e series strongly preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in CNC programming for sheet metal fabrication
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Sigma

    NEST, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar)

  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings
  • Hands‑on experience with tooling setup, optimization, and troubleshooting on turret punch equipment
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or metalworking required
  • Technical diploma or relevant certification in CNC programming or machining preferred
