Overview: Montana Advanced Composites (MAC) is a developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials used in the aerospace, sporting goods, transportation, and industrial markets. We are committed to building a collaborative team and offering a safe, positive, and flexible work environment.
MAC is seeking a Composites Technician who will support daily manufacturing operations by preparing materials, operating equipment, following standard work instructions, and producing high-quality composite products in a safe and efficient manner. This role works closely with the Manufacturing Manager and production team to meet schedule, quality, and safety expectations while contributing to continuous improvement across the shop floor. Objectives of this Role:
- Perform composite manufacturing tasks safely, consistently, and in accordance with documented processes and quality requirements
- Support production schedules by preparing materials, setting up jobs, and completing work in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and help uphold 5S and safe work practices throughout the facility
- Contribute to product quality and continuous improvement by identifying issues, following corrective actions, and helping improve process consistency
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, handle, and stage composite materials in accordance with work instructions and job requirements
- Operate production equipment, tools, and machinery used in composite manufacturing while following all safety procedures
- Perform layup, trimming, finishing, inspection, packaging, or other assigned manufacturing tasks as needed
- Read and follow travelers, specifications, standard operating procedures, and quality documentation
- Inspect work for conformance to quality standards and promptly communicate material, equipment, or process issues to the Manufacturing Manager or designated lead
- Accurately complete production records, material transactions, and other required documentation
- Support inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and continuous improvement efforts across the production area
Shift Schedule:
- First Shift Schedule:Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
- 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:00pm – 1:00am
- Overtimeoften available on Fridays
Pay:
- Base pay: $23.25/hour (starting pay is $22.25 / hour during initial 90-day probation)
- Shift premium for 2nd Shift: +$2/hour
Pay: $23.25 – $25.25 per hour
