We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Contractor Technician based out of Moncton, NB.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
General repairs to waste equipment such as compactors and balers.
Perform diagnostic checks on structure, electrical and hydraulic components.
Preventative maintenance inspections throughout New Brunswick.
Ensure a safework environmentin compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities,Education, and Experience:
Previous working experience on machinery, including Hydraulics or electrical an asset.
Capable to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings and mechanical
blueprints to properly diagnose, repair and replace various parts and components
An acuteattention to detailcoupled with experience working with hand tools such as drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, and measurement tape.
Strong verbalcommunication skillswhile maintaining professional appearance,positive attitude, and a safety-first mindset.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions year-round and wearing protective clothing while working in or near garbage, recycling, or compost material.
Welding or Millwright background would be considered an asset.
