Hours of Work: Monday
– Friday: 10:45am to 7:00pm (These hours are dependent on the operational requirements of the organization)

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Outreach Worker will offer early intervention for women involved in the sex trade through empathetic first response street‑level engagement through outreach services. The worker will also provide referrals and transitions to other services, continue to build/consolidate partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders, and provide preventative activities such as education in the community.
The worker will also be expected to staff the drop‑in, attend all programs and department staff meetings and relevant Mount Carmel Clinic committees, and is required to perform household duties on a rotating basis or as needed. This includes but is not limited to laundry services, food preparation, and cleaning.
Qualifications
- Education: Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in community, preferably with target population; experience providing outreach with hard‑to‑reach populations.

Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and the impact of colonization on the health and well‑being of Indigenous individuals and families.

Assets: Post‑secondary education in a Social Services field.
