The commitment management team leader will lead a regional team of individuals that will be accountable for ensuring the customer commitment by Husky for rigid packaging systems is tracked, communicated and managed, with issues resolved on a timely basis, from quote development to first production at the customer factory.

The leader will ensure that the equipment required date by the customer is defined and communicated by the customer to Husky, the Husky team understands the committed date to the customer for the rigid packaging systems, and the team both proactively identifies and resolves issues during the implementation process so that customer delivery and production expectations are met by the cross-functional Husky team.

Key Responsibilities:
Commitment Management Process:
  • Ensure that the standardized global commitment management process for quoting, orders, commercial terms, and project management, is followed by all team members of Commitment Management Team.
  • Takes immediate action as part of an escalation process: In case a Commitment Management Team Member does escalate any roadblocks that could risk meeting all milestone dates and the customer commitment date. In case of deviation of the project plan, take immediately the lead of all necessary countermeasure actions needed for the achievement of the milestones and CRD (Customer Required Date).
Team Organization:
  • Ensure and adjust (if required) an aligned, customer-facing commitment management organization structure within region that manages the end to end process in a standardized manner, with local geographical adjustments for ideal effectiveness

Collaboration Culture:
  • Drive and ensure a collaborative and effective cross functional working relationship with Operations, Engineering and Finance for all relevant commitment management accountabilities, where Operations, Engineering and Finance have responsibility for the key activities

Critical Capabilities:
  • Focused end to end. Establishes and maintains systems to support and execute the order to commitment delivered process with full transparency to customer and Husky stakeholders. In addition, identifies process deficiencies and difficulties and implements necessary improvements.
  • Pragmatic. Exhibits a high degree of business acumen and confidence that drives a practical, efficient and effective approach to solving customer and internal Husky issues, with and ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Customer facing. Demonstrates versatile, flexible and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and confidence, across a wide range of customer functional groups, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative. Develops a strong and cooperative working relationship with Finance, Solutioning, Engineering, Logistics and Operations, which drives seamless delivery of Rigid Packaging systems to customers.
  • Accountable. Cultivates and creates an environment that is accountable for all customer facing activities from final quote to customer commitment delivered, with a handoff from sales during the quotation process.
  • Quantitative. Demonstrates ability to drive toward data driven decisions with supporting analysis using a database mindset with strong data visualization capabilities. In addition, pays attention to detail across a high workload environment.
  • Team builder and coach. Develops and maintains an effective and stable team that has a change management mindset and attitude. In addition, develops a group that is supportive and willing to adjust to existing circumstances, changes processes and tools to adapt, and achieves the overall objective in an effective manner.
  • Project management focused. Utilizes an approach that includes proactive issue identification/resolution, milestone development, planning and tracking, actively drives toward milestone dates, understands key interdependencies and predecessor activities.
  • Entrepreneurial. Exhibits proactive problem solving with innovative solutions tied to objectives rather than historical practices. In addition, has the ability to deal with and work through ambiguity as a creative problem solver. Has the ability to work remotely, especially when traveling, so productivity is not impacted when operating outside the office environment (e.g., use of laptops, mobile technology, multiple communication modes).
  • Executive presence. Displays the ability to work with all levels of the organization, including concise presentation of analysis, results, conclusions to executives, work effectively with cross functional teams that are outside the commitment management reporting lines, and achieves the customer service objectives.
  • Functional knowledge. Has a strong working knowledge base of Commercial, Logistics/Customs, and technical matters, with strong expertise in project management and holding functional colleagues accountable for deliverables.

  • Project Planning – Demonstrates the ability to build, deliver, manage and follow up related to a project plan, including holding internal and external stakeholders accountable to deliver key milestones
  • Communication – Ability to identify and communicate effectively with all levels of the customer and Husky organizations, with active listening, positive perspective and empathy.
  • Attention to Detail – Demonstrates a understand and master granular level details while extracting the essence and key points of the issue and solutions for executive and customer level presentations/interactions.
  • Scope Changes – Ability to identify scope changes, then exhibit the agility to adapt to changing situations while maintaining the ability to achieve the overall objectives and timelines of the project, with effective stakeholder interaction and the capability to escalate in a timely manner.
  • Resilience – Demonstrates the ability to exhibit resilience and grit when facing issues, and the ability to pursue countermeasures as solutions, which move the project back on track.
  • Negotiation – Ability to convince, persuade, and reach agreement through negotiation, while resolving high conflict situations in an amicable manner with all parties (initial setting of the project plan and during execution of the plan).
  • Commercial – Exhibits a strong working knowledge of different types of transport (bill of lading, incoterms, mode), different financing solutions, including LCs, bank guarantees.
  • Logistics – Understands the different types of shipping documents and the specificity related to individual countries, including Husky export requirements and customer import requirements, plus timing of required documents.
  • Technical – Understands the products and system components, key inputs to the system design (e.g., preform), understands the impact of application changes on the work plan, impact on commitment and timelines, with the ability to engage subject matter experts at the appropriate time to address the issues and needs of the customer.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Engineering Degree
  • +8 years of experience in Sales Support function (e.g. Project Manager, Project Engineer etc.)

Pay Range: $130,000 – $145,000
