We are currently seeking an experienced Commis I to join our team in the Food & Beverages industry. As a Commis I, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the team in maintaining high-quality culinary standards. Working under the supervision of the Head Chef & Sous Chef & Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic team with a focus on BOH breakfast food & plating execution.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast dishes according to menu specifications and recipes.

· Ensure all food produced is of the highest standard, and consistently meets our quality and presentation guidelines.

· Supervise and assist in training junior kitchen staff, ensuring they are following the correct techniques and procedures for the breakfast cookery.

· Assist in feature menu planning and development, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

· Coordinate and communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

· Monitor and manage food cost to keep it within budget, minimizing wastage and maximizing profitability.

· Ensure compliance with all standardized recipes, plating standards & flavour profiles set out by BOH Leadership Team.

Requirements

· Proven experience working as a Commis I in a reputable establishment.

· In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

· Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and tasty dishes.

· Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.61-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
