A-1 Roofing Contractor is one of South Florida’s leading commercial roofing contractors, specializing in complex reroofing projects for condominiums, municipalities, schools, hospitals, and commercial facilities. We are known for delivering high-quality workmanship, accurate estimating, and exceptional customer service.
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator who is highly proficient with The EDGE Estimating Software and has a strong understanding of commercial roofing systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate takeoffs using The EDGE Estimating Software
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
- Estimate commercial roofing projects including:
- TPO
- PVC
- SBS Modified Bitumen
- BUR
- Metal Roofing
- Roof Coatings
- Perform material and labor takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals
- Identify value engineering opportunities
- Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits when required
- Coordinate with project managers and operations during project turnover
- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining estimate accuracy
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing estimating experience
- Advanced proficiency using The EDGE Estimating Software
- Experience estimating commercial reroof and new construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing assemblies and Florida building codes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Preferred
- Experience estimating projects in South Florida
- Experience with public bids, municipalities, schools, and condominium associations
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade and Broward permitting requirements
- Experience with manufacturer systems including GAF, Soprema, Carlisle, Elevate, Johns Manville, or Tremco
Pay: $58,822.62 – $70,840.14 per year
