Overview
UniProAir is looking for a motivated and experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This position involves servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and starting up commercial and residential HVAC systems across New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, mini-splits, and refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls
- Start up commercial and residential HVAC systems on new construction projects
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control issues
- Perform equipment replacements and component repairs
- Work with tools such as gauges, meters, ohmmeters, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, and welding/brazing equipment
- Complete service reports, startup reports, and job documentation
- Maintain clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and work areas
- Communicate professionally with customers, builders, project managers, and office staff
Requirements
- 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems required
- Residential HVAC service experience preferred
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience reading electrical diagrams and mechanical plans
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, airflow, controls, and electrical systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work overtime or emergency calls when needed

Pay: $25.00 – $45.00 per hour
