Commercial Carpenter / Installer
Pay: $22.50 – $30.00 per hour DOE
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40-46 hours per week
Location: Utica, NY area
Commercial Carpenters and Installers Wanted
We are hiring Commercial Carpenters and Installers for a variety of commercial and renovation projects. We’re looking for dependable individuals with experience in general construction, window installation, exterior trim work, and metal brake work. We also welcome motivated entry-level carpenters who want to learn, work hard, and build a long-term career in the trades.

What You’ll Do
- Perform general carpentry and construction tasks on commercial and renovation projects
- Install vinyl and aluminum windows, doors, siding, and related building components
- Use a metal brake to fabricate trim and complete exterior finish work
- Complete cabinet installation, flooring installation, trim work, and finish carpentry
- Assist with drywall, metal framing, and general interior carpentry
- Support weatherization and building envelope improvements
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Work with crew members and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional
- Identify and solve installation issues in the field as they come up
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in commercial carpentry, installation, or general construction preferred
- Experience with window installation, exterior trim, siding, and metal brake work strongly preferred
- Willingness to learn for novice or intermediate carpenters
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and produce quality work consistently
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
- Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications is a plus
- Experience with government, defense, or K-12 projects is a plus
- OSHA 10 will be required after 4 weeks of employment if not already completed
Pay and Advancement
- $22.50 – $30.00 per hour DOE
- Advertised rate applies to non-prevailing wage work
- Piece-rate opportunities may be available for certain scopes of work
- Prevailing wage jobs may be available for high performers
