Job Summary

10-15 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE!

Supervises Apprentices and Electricians in the installation, repair or maintenance of electrical systems. The Foreman oversees scheduling tasks for the field employees and ensures that everything goes smoothly on the job. Has a deep knowledge of the industry and processes planning, assigning, participating in and inspecting the work of others. Foreman Electricians are expected to have a wide range of experience including tenant improvements, panel installation, switchgear, transformers and underground installation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work on-site at job locations

Run and manage each project from the beginning to the end of the project

Constant communication with the Company’s Project Manager (PM) and Field Supervisor for the length of the project via email, telephone or text

Coordinating tasks for the day, oversee quality of the site and report the progress of the project to superiors

Manage the safety of the Mid-level and Apprentices. Make sure they are using the correct and appropriate equipment needed for each task

Submit required documentation to the PM for material requests and all other applicable needs

Pass electrical inspections

Prepare and turn in As-builts to the PM within forty-eight (48) hours of completion of project

Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. Install conduits and pipes to electrical wires and cables, circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them in compliance with NEC standards

Determine and perform the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and report violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to Field Supervisor

Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties and do not allow employees to use any piece of equipment that they do not carry a required certificate for (i.e. scissor lift)

Notify the Human Resources Department and Field Supervisor of all injuries, incidents, violations, harassment or discrimination to or by employees within one hour of occurrence. Must complete the applicable Report (Injury/Incident Report, Violation Report and/or Harassment/Discrimination Report) within one hour of all occurrences

Conduct weekly Safety Meetings on-site every Monday and turn in the attendance sheets

Delegate tasks to employee’s ranging from demo to roughing in walls to setting finish installation of electrical panels

Pick up and/or drop off material and equipment to job site when needed

Responsible for installing and maintaining the electrical devices in commercial buildings

Install and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. Install electrical wires and cables, circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them

Strong leadership skills

Remain compliant with all Certification’s legally required to be an electrician

Able to stand on a ladder for an extended period

Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely

Ability to lay out projects and direct Apprentices and Electricians to accomplish tasks

Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, stand on a ladder and on your feet for an extended period

Ability to perform non-electrical work (i.e., move furniture, re-work Tbar and framing)

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials

Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others

Supervise the cleaning of job sites at the end of each day’s shift

Willingness to work overtime when required

Willingness to be on call for after-hours service call work

Qualifications/Educational and professional requirements

Requires a high school diploma

Compliant with certification’s legally required to be an electrician by having a valid General Electrician (GE) card or, at minimum, an Electrical Train (ET) card

Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes

Minimum of five (5) years of related experience including supervisory or lead experience and considerable experience as a journeyman electrician or any equivalent combination of training and experience

Excellent communication skills

History of long-term employment with other companies

Pay: $46.00 – $50.00 per hour
