We specialize in design-build electrical projects and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a union contractor, this foreman position comes with competitive union wages and a company-provided take-home van.
What We Do
At Tapps Electric, we’re the go-to electrical contractor for:
- Tenant Improvements in downtown Seattle/Tacoma office spaces
- Healthcare facilitys tenant improvements and renovations
- Design-build projects from concept to completion
- Commercial electrical installations across diverse industries
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial TI and healthcare projects
- Collaborate on design-build projects from initial planning through completion
- Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and healthcare facility standards
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and general contractors
- Review and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and design documents
- Manage material procurement, crew scheduling, and job site logistics
- Mentor apprentices and journeyman electricians
- Maintain quality control and ensure Tapps Electric’s high standards
- Keep detailed project documentation and daily reports
- Lead safety meetings and enforce safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician with current Washington State electrical license
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience
- Experience with tenant improvements and commercial projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC 2023, Seattle electrical codes, and safety regulations
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, specifications, and design documents
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred

Pay: $149,032.00 – $173,805.00 per year
