Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Company Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long distances, delivering freight efficiently and reliably to various destinations. Your expertise in driving different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, and other specialized equipment—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across national or regional routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Drive a variety of trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on shipment requirements.
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while minimizing delays.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any incidents encountered during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license, including extensive truck driving on long-haul routes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and safely over extended distances.
- Experience handling various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or specialized equipment like dump trucks and roll-off trucks.
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on load & unload procedures and route management.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling regulations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while ensuring compliance with all transportation laws.
