Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The position involves handling cash transactions, operating POS systems, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food preparation areas, dining spaces, and equipment
- Assist with food preparation and food safety procedures as needed
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously
- Manage multiple tasks effectively through strong time management skills in a busy environment
Skills
- Previous Barista experience is preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Experience with serving, food preparation, and general food service operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
