Position Summary

Exemplifying the mission, vision and values of St.Amant, the Clinical Educator works collaboratively across all St.Amant programs while offering employees and people supported respectful customer service. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programs and Services, Health and Transition Services, the Clinical Educator is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Course work/certification in adult education is preferred
  • Minimum of four years related nursing experience with demonstrated clinical practice competency relevant to the assigned area
  • Previous experience in teaching in a healthcare setting required
  • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification in a related clinical area preferred
  • Familiarity with online learning modalities and Microsoft Office is required
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professional Act (RHPA)
  • Must be registered and eligible for registration with the applicable professional college (e.g. College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM))
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Identifying priority learning needs and implementing strategies to address them for all clinical staff in H&TS;
  • Modelling excellence in clinical practice and providing clinical knowledge in collaboration with other identified experts to enhance the overall care provided to the people supported in H&TS;
  • Developing and/or implementing all necessary learning modules to support the strategic vision of the designated clinical program;
  • Engaging in collaborative activities (e.g. regional working groups, communities or practice) to enhance clinical practice, promote evidence informed practice, and work towards a goal of improved overall efficiency and system performance;
  • Modelling Inter-Professional Practice through the use of collaborative practice model, shared decision-making and engagement of the person supported and/or family in the planning of care
