Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Commercial Services, the incumbent is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations within the Commercial department, including:
Parking Operations.
Rental Operations.
Cashier/Reception functions, receiving and depositing funds received in Commercial.
Communicating with clients either in person, by telephone or email in a friendly professional and timely manner.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a computerized financial department, preferably in a hospital environment.
Previous experience with parking operations, rental tenancy agreements and reception required.
Experience dealing with the public in a friendly and pleasant manner required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
Business/Accounting diploma from a recognized business college.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Special Training
Knowledge of a Parking Access and Revenue Control System, preferably TIBA Smartpark, and the Residential Tenancy Branch would be an asset.
Qualifications And Skills
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Typing minimum 45‑50 wpm, demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook);
General Ledger systems required.
Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to deal with stressful situations arising from day‑to‑day responsibilities in meeting critical deadlines.
Arranges parking and tenancy rentals with staff.
Ability to communicate with the public who may be difficult to deal with.
Subject to frequent interruptions, lack of isolation in work area and use of computer terminals.
Requirements: This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
