Full job description
**We are looking for stable, energetic, positive, and long-term assistant staff/ sanitization support for our childcare who have a Level 1 ECE certificate, or who are willing to take a Level 1 training course online in early childhood education. We are willing to train as long as you are committed to consistently coming to work and show enthusiasm for young children. You must be living in Calgary and have a valid open work visa or be a PR, and be able to communicate in clear English. You must enjoy working around and with small children and be able to get a Calgary Police Check with vulnerable sector.**Applicants must be already living in Calgary+area and be able to commute independently to Christie Park / Strathcona communities. Please map the address of 1180, 40 Christie Park View SW and make sure it works as a commute for you.
We are prioritizing people who already have a Level 1 ECE and who can start immediately, but are open to any applicants that meet the requirements and show the commitment needed.
We do not hire overseas or from outside of Calgary. We cannot sponsor LMIA applicants and do not hire people on student visas. Our positions require CLB7+ for speaking and listening.

Responsibilities:
– Have energy, enthusiasm and dedication to this career and your workplace
– Work with children ages 2 – 5 for lunch supervision and break coverage
– Perform cleaning tasks such as sanitizing toys, mopping floors, and cleaning tables
– Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly
– Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
– Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops
– Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt and debris
Requirements:
– A love of children 🙂
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
– Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
– Good physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive tasks (lifting, bending, carrying, getting up and down from the floor)
– Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes
– Physical fitness and ability to lift a small child
