TITLE: Regional Driver/Class A
DEPARTMENT: Transportation
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
Starts at: $40.00 , After 90 Days $41.00, Year 1 $41.50, $0.50 raise first 3yrs then $1.00 raise yearly.
Sign On Bonus – $10,000 total; $2,500 every 90 days
DUTIES:
· An essential function of the job is to safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up product from customers.
· Maintains professional interaction with customers, vendors, dispatchers, other departments and fellow employees.
- Safely operate all company equipment under all types of climate conditions, terrain, road conditions and traffic situations, in urban and rural settings, for extended periods of time, over long distances in accordance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and ProPacific Fresh Policies.
· Safely operate all material handling equipment.
· Properly secure all product and loads for safe transport to and from all locations.
· Protects the appropriate cold-chain integrity and security of all loads/products with consistent temperature monitoring throughout each route.
- Adheres to all established company protocols related to the operation of Class A equipment and company technology i.e. Omnitracs, delivery SOP, DVIRs, ELD Logs, check in and check out procedures, pre and post trip inspections, etc.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate all challenges, discrepancies, or problems to assigned personnel whether internal or external.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to read, write and communicate as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
· Must have a valid CA Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class A endorsement and be DOT qualified.
· Minimum 2 year driving experience. Experience delivering refrigerated products a plus.
· Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations (HOS, DVIR, DOT, CA DOT, Clearing House).
· Must be available to work with the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
· Must be able to pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen, work in extreme weather conditions and be able to work in confined spaces.
· Must exhibit a required level of endurance, energy and strength to successfully perform the duties and requirements of the position.
Pay: $40.00 per hour
