Class 3 – Driver-Microbulk (Full time) Calgary, AB
Primary Purpose:
Reporting to the Microbulk Operations Manager, this position is based in Calgary and is responsible for the delivery of liquid Nitrogen to Microbulk vessels throughout Southern Alberta.
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery of liquid Nitrogen to scheduled customers using a single or tandem axle tanker. This includes loading of the tanker from bulk facility.
Conduct pre and post trip inspections
Maintain driver logs on the truck’s OBC (ELD)
Occasional overnight hotel stays for multi-day routes
Complete and maintain all required training as assigned
Complete daily delivery logs and other necessary reports
Complete monthly credit card reconciliations as well as any other necessary reports in a timely manner
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent experience
Minimum job related qualifications:
Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
24 months for commercial vehicles as a pre-condition for selection.
12 months of relevant driving experience within the previous 2 years with equipment that is similar in size and type the driver will operate. (before 3 Years)
No Level 1 or Level 2 equivalent “in control” vehicle incidents within the past 24 months.
Road test to verify defensive and safe driving capabilities for commercial vehicle drivers.
Strong aptitude for delivery technology (handheld computers, E-Logs)
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) [considered an asset]
City driving experience in tight quarters
Safety First mentality. Remain attentive in hazard recognition
Other Considerations:
Self motivated and organized individual, capable of working with minimum supervision
Team player who has a strong customer and safety focus and works well contractors
Must have basic computer & mobile device skills for email and summary reports in Excel
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand gas systems would be an asset
