About the role

We’re looking for aClaims Manager, Casualtytojoin our growing team!

As a
Claims Manager, Casualty,you will lead a team of Unit Managers responsible for managing the day to day casualty operations. Your claims experience and strive for excellence will help you successfully manage the day-to-day operations of your teams. Your passion for coaching, development and engagement will help strengthen team connections, keep everyone motivated to deliver second-to-none experiences for our customers and inspire people to go above and beyond in everything they do.

What you’ll do here:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of your teams to achieve essentialbusinessgoals and meet customer service expectations.

Work closely with your Director to develop strategies, long term and short-term plans to facilitate ongoing work,process improvement, customer relations and other functions.

Develop and implement incollaborationwith others strategic business plans to achieve key business goals relating to indemnity control,technical excellence, engagement and recruitment.

Monitor financialperformanceand productivity and report observations, progress, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Provideeffective leadership, motivate staff and be responsible for coaching unit managers on technical and professional skills and delivering performance feedback.

Develop, recommend and implement management and organizational initiatives to support company strategies including changes to organizational structure and process/technology improvements.

Liaise with national Claim Managers, Casualty on technical and administrative issues.

Act in a consultative and advisory capacity with unit managers and teams and provide your expertise on claims matters including policy interpretation, liability and quantum determination, and settlementnegotiation.

What you bring to the table:

University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role

Experience with liability claims.

Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation/s, CFE or CRM designations (preferred).

Provenleadershipskills with experience coaching and mentoring.
