The Civil Pipelayer – storm, sanitary and water, is responsible for the installation of underground utility systems, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain infrastructure. The role requires precision, teamwork, and a strong understanding of civil construction practices. Experience working with deep utilities is considered a strong asset.

What You Will Do:

Install storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain systems in accordance with drawings and specifications

Lay pipe, fittings, valves, and services to proper line and grade

Prepare trench bottoms, including bedding, grading, and compaction

Work safely in and around excavations, including shoring systems and trench boxes

Assist with pipe laser setup and grade checking

Connect services, manholes, catch basins, hydrants, and chambers

Coordinate closely with operators, foremen, and laborers

Follow utility locates and protect existing underground services

Ensure installations meet municipal and project quality standards

Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans

What You bring:

3+ years of experience as a Civil Pipe layer

Strong experience with storm, sanitary, and watermain installation

Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings

Knowledge of pipe materials (PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, concrete)
Understanding of trench safety, bedding requirements, and compaction methods

Experience working with deep utilities (bonus)
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Physically capable of working in a demanding construction environment

Salary Range:$36-50 per hour based on experience
