Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team. This position is involves work with children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome and other learning challenges. As a Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in our care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
Duties:
– work One on One with a child
-follow a program that is outlined
-maintain structure of the session
-engage with the client and encourage their growth and development
– Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
– Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
– Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed
– Monitor children’s behavior and intervene when necessary
– Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
– Collaborate with other childcare providers to create a positive learning environment
– Follow all health and safety guidelines
Experience:
-experience working with children with autism
– Previous experience in caregiving or working with children is preferred
– Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is a plus
– Familiarity with classroom management techniques is beneficial
– Ability to educate and engage children in fun and interactive activities
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
– Ability to pass a background check
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children
