What will you be doing?
A Kitchen Assistant prepares nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the children in our care. When not preparing food, serving meals, or cleaning, assists teachers in the classrooms.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing orders for food as needed.
- Serving meals from a catered service provided daily.
- Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
- Understanding dietary restrictions in centre for individual children.
- Washing dishes after meals.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Food Handling Certification preferred.
- Meet province requirement for childcare employment.
- Current Standard First Aid and Infant Child CPR.
- Effective time management skills.
- Experience cooking for large groups is an asset.
