This position will work during the school year with July and August off as unpaid leave. Apply today to join our team!

As a Child and Family Support Worker with VCH you will:

Be in collaboration with the elementary school classroom instructional team, clinical care team, and family/caregivers, provide behavior management support to children and families by developing positive skills that increase the child’s chance of success by assisting them in managing/stabilizing/regulating behavior and emotions.

Support and educates families by performing duties such as facilitating training sessions and providing instruction and demonstrations. Works collaboratively with the community to build partnerships and identify community resources.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

As per the current Public Health Orders, as of October 5, 2023, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received a single dose of the most-recent, updated COVID-19 vaccine. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
