We’re seeking a visionary, values‑driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our respected, nonprofit, community‑rooted organization into its next chapter. This is a meaningful opportunity to steward an organization that is deeply trusted, well established, and widely recognized for its impact.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic leadership and overall organizational direction, ensuring Pathways continues to support individuals, particularly those facing barriers to employment, to achieve meaningful work and long‑term economic stability. This role is focused on long‑term strategy, sustainable growth, and strong partnerships, building on a solid foundation of effective governance, business discipline, and community credibility while preserving Pathways’ deeply person‑centred, equity‑driven culture.
What You’ll Do
- Set and lead multi‑year strategic direction aligned with mission and community needs.
- Inspire and support strong senior leadership and an inclusive, values‑driven culture.
- Serve as a trusted ambassador with funders, employers, government, and community partners.
- Expand partnerships, grow revenue diversification, and elevate Pathways’ community impact.
- Champion equity, inclusion, innovation, and thoughtful change.
Who You Are
You’re a strategic, relational leader with executive experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission‑driven organizations. You believe in the power of employment to change lives, bring strong business and financial acumen, lead collaboratively, and deeply care about the people and communities this work serves.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of senior executive leadership experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission‑driven organizations.
- Proven ability to partner with Boards and lead with strong governance, accountability, and strategic clarity.
- Demonstrated financial and operational leadership within complex, multi‑program or multi‑site organizations.
- An entrepreneurial track record, including funding diversification, program innovation, or new service development.
- A graduate degree in leadership, business, social policy, or equivalent senior leadership experience. Executive or leadership development credentials are an asset.
