Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at our renowned high-end steakhouse. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a passion for precision, consistency, and excellence—especially on the grill, the heart of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Lead the grill section during service, ensuring all steaks and proteins are cooked to exacting standard
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with the brigade to maintain a smooth, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to sanitation policies and health regulations to uphold a safe working environment
Requirements
- Red Seal Certification or currently on an active path toward completing the designation.
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in a high-volume, high-end, or fine-dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of steak cuts, butchery basics, grill temperatures, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Knife skills on point!
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- A positive attitude, teamwork-oriented mindset, and attention to detail
