Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CDL Monument Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing monuments, signage, and related structures using a combination of heavy equipment, hand tools, and construction techniques. Your expertise will ensure precise placement and secure installation of monuments that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from public spaces to commercial developments, contributing to the creation of lasting landmarks.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as company truck with trailer, crane, and forklifts to position large monuments and structural components accurately
- Read and interpret paperwork to determine installation procedures
- Prepare foundations by performing concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work to ensure stable support for monuments
- Use hand tools and power tools for tasks including caulking, trimming, and finishing surfaces to achieve high-quality results
- Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms for added structural integrity during monument placement
- Apply various masonry techniques such as stone setting to enhance monument aesthetics
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, schematics, and project specifications; perform restoration or renovation work as needed
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and equipment operated throughout each project phase
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on monument or heavy structure installation
- Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, excavators, and other power tools required for monument installation
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites; ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
