Catering Prep Cook – Stone Crock Catering Jobs in St. Jacobs at The Stone Crock Inc
The Stone Crock is a group of restaurants and food shops located in Historic St Jacobs, just north or Waterloo, that includes Jacobs’s Grill, the Stone Crock Bakery, the Stone Crock Market, and Stone Crock Catering and Events.
The ideal Catering Prep Cook candidate is organized, independent, reliable and can take direction well. Must be available some Saturdays for catering event prep. Shift length is 8 hours, but this can be flexible as well. Catering business is from the afternoon to evening, no late nights. This role is also ideal for a line cook with a passion for the industry, but a desire to leave the hustle and bustle of the line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up work area and ensure it’s maintained and clean throughout each shift.
Duties as assigned such as prepping vegetables and small cooking tasks.
Assist with preparation and packing of Saturday wedding catering orders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/COMPLEXITY ANALYSIS:
Must be able to endure long hours standing and walking.
Must be a quick thinker that enjoys working under pressure.
Must use caution in all work area due to wet floors, steep staircase and dealing with kitchen industrial equipment.
Involves much bending, lifting, twisting and carrying.
Must be able to continually lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
