Cage Cashier Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cage Cashier to join our team. The Cage Cashier will play a vital role in providing exceptional guest services while managing cash transactions efficiently and accurately. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle cash responsibly in a fast-paced environment. Cage Cashier is responsible for providing the following services to our guests: Check cashing, cash advances, cashing in slot machine vouchers, breaking bills, and cashing in table game chips. Must maintain accuracy while performing these services. Also is responsible for accurately completing necessary paperwork associated with the position and to ensure that the highest guest service level is being met.

Responsibilities
- Process cash transactions for guests, including deposits, withdrawals, and exchanges.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and resolving any issues related to cash transactions.
- Operate cash registers and other financial equipment, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
- Perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately to ensure correct change is given.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of the cage area to ensure a clean and orderly environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the cage area.
- Is assigned a Cashier Bank that they are accountable for during their shift and must balance at the end of their shift.
- Be able to perform a variety of tasks to service our guests.
- Money handling accuracy.
- Must follow all Cage Policies and Procedures.
- Complies with all Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
- Attends all mandatory meetings.
- Attends all company required training.
- May be required to work dayshift, nightshift, weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Strong basic math skills, including retail math, to handle cash transactions effectively.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Previous experience in a casino or banking environment is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
