Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Bilingual Service Representative to join our Check Cashing and Money Transfer business. The ideal candidate will assist customers with check cashing transactions, domestic and international money transfers, and other financial services while providing excellent customer service.
Spanish-English bilingual skills are required, as a majority of our customers are Spanish-speaking and send money to Central America, Mexico, and other international destinations.
Previous experience in check cashing, money services, money transfer, banking, financial services, retail cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with check cashing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Process domestic and international money transfers using multiple platforms including Ria, MoneyGram, Intermex, Barri, Dolex, and other money transfer services.
- Verify customer identification and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions regarding available services.
- Assist customers with sending and receiving money transfers.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and applicable regulations.
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
- Accurately complete transaction records and required paperwork.
- Promote additional company services when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish REQUIRED.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Experience with money transfer services such as Ria, MoneyGram, Intermex, Barri, Dolex, Western Union, or similar services is highly preferred.
- Experience in check cashing, banking, financial services, retail cashier, or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to pass any required background checks and work legally in the United States.
