Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our Tara retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, store policies, and product information
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette
- Ensure the sales floor is organized, clean, and well-stocked through effective merchandising
- Handle cash accurately, balance registers at the end of shifts, and perform basic math calculations as needed
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as necessary
- Support team members with various tasks to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate product knowledge through demos and upselling techniques
- Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Multilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
