Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Richmond, BC. The Carpenter will be responsible for measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing exterior architectural mouldings and related components according to project specifications and drawings. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, preparing and setting up work areas, and using hand and power tools to complete framing, installation, and finishing work. The role involves inspecting materials for quality, ensuring accurate alignment and secure installation, and performing adjustments or repairs as needed. The Carpenter will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in exterior installations, architectural details, and construction practices.
- Proficient in the safe use and maintenance of power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and related equipment.
- Skilled in framing techniques for structural and decorative elements, including layout, measuring, and cutting.
- Competent with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, measuring tapes, and squares for precise work.
- Experience in finish carpentry, including accurate fitting, trimming, and detailing of mouldings and wall systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working at heights when required.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
- Previous experience in exterior construction, architectural products, or a related field is an asset.
