Cargo Agent Jobs in Goffs at Gateway Facilities, ULC
Job description:
Load and unload trucks.
Inspect and count items received.
Assemble ULD’s, containers and crates used to transport various items including perishable goods, onto cargo aircrafts.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive bases during the shift.
Physically build and de-build cargo pallets.
Provide special handling of cargo as required/directed.
Drive and/or operate/utilize ground support equipment which includes tow tractors & cargo dollies.
Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Report all incidents/accidents to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with the company and airline specific procedures and policies.
Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements.
Start times ranging from 4am – 10am , 4-5 hour shifts.
Paid training provided.
Have reliable transportation, outside of normal Metro Transit schedules.
MUST PROVIDE a criminal background check issued by local police.
MUST have Canadian PR, work permit or citizenship status to apply.
MUST PROVIDE original birth certificate, which is needed for Transport Canada application.
MUST PROVIDE original valid passport, which is needed for Transport Canada application.
Forklift certification/experience an asset.
Hold a Transport Canada, Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) an asset.
Hold an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) an asset.
