Care giver Jobs in Fort Erie at Redstacks Retirement Home
The duties include but not limited to:
Provides holistic personal care to residents, ensuring that the residents’ daily activities are met as per policy and procedures and daily living plan (e.g. personal hygiene, skincare, toileting, and dressing).
Observes, reports and records any changes in resident’s functional and cognitive behaviour.
Ensures that resident rights are maintained and respected, which includes confidentiality.
Answers call bells promptly, and responds appropriately to resident requests.
Coordinates with visitors to the residents, external caregivers or contractors.
Assists residents dining and reports any appetite/fluid/food intake changes or concerns immediately to the manager.
Implements infection control measures and reports any shortages, breakage and malfunction of equipment.
Performs housekeeping duties. Maintains a clean, safe, homelike environment for residents and staff.
Dispatches resident’s medication according to the instructions from doctors and pharmacists. Reports and records untaken medications and reactions if any.
Attends and participates in education programs aimed at increasing personal knowledge and abilities of the caregiver.
Performs other related duties as required.

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
