Canine Balance Training is looking to add to our team at our one-of-a-kind Dog Day School program. We have a scheduled curriculum that we follow throughout the day starting with a couple of fun hours of monitored play followed by a 1 hour Packwalk mid-morning. After our walk we continue with play time but start obedience training in groups and in one-on-one format. We are not your average dog daycare and focus on obedience, appropriate play and controlling energy throughout the day.

Job Description
As a canine handler in our Day School program, you will be responsible for assisting the rest of the team in monitoring the socializing of dogs in the Day School program. Additionally, this role requires that you assist with the mid-morning Packwalk where each team member takes between 4-6 dogs for an hour long walk. This role also includes the daily cleaning and sanitizing duties required at our location.
What We Are Looking For
· Previous professional dog experience in a daycare/kennel/boarding facility strongly preferred.
· Must be comfortable working with large groups of dogs (up to 40) of all breeds and sizes, while staying calm under pressure.
· We work as a team in our Day School program so reliability and punctuality are a must! Shifts are 8 hours (9:00am – 5:30pm, Tuesday to Friday).
· This is an active position as we spend a lot of time training, walking and monitoring the dogs. You can expect to be on your feet and moving around the majority of the day.
· An interest in training would be preferred.
Salary:$17.00 – $23.00 per hour, plus benefits.
