Full job description
No. of Positions available:1 Full Time, Permanent Position for a Millwork Cabinet Maker.
Salary:$27.00 – $29.00 per hour
Hours:Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-12:00 noon (Lunch 12-12:30)
Location:5888 Thorold Stone Rd. Unit 1 Niagara Falls, ON L2J 1A2
Environment:Custom Millwork – not an assembly line. Our shop has individual workstations and a paint booth.
Skills/Experience Required:
– Experience building cabinets required.
– Experience working with a CNC Machine is an asset but not required.
– Must be able to build efficiently from Shop Drawings/Blueprints in the English language. This means you can analyze the Shop Drawings to create a Material Cutting List that minimizes waste.
– Must be proficient in the use of basic woodworking machinery such as Edge-banders, Sliding Table Saws and Mitre Saws, Drills, Laminate Files, Palm Sanders, etc.
– Must be experienced in cutting the materials, laminating, edge-banding, sanding, assembling (using glue & clamps) and installing hardware.
– Experience working with Plastic Laminates is required.
Other requirements:
– The worker must be legally allowed to work in Canada and provide a Social Insurance Number.
– Standing for extended periods during your shift is required due to the nature of the work.
– Ability to lift 50lbs is required as that is the weight of 1 piece of melamine.
– Accuracy and attention to detail is required, to build boxes and drawers that are square and plumb.
Benefits:
Wages are paid weekly, every Friday by direct deposit based on 43.0 hours per week.
4% Vacation Pay is paid out on every paycheque.
We have free On-site Parking. We are also on the bus route.
