MSSM Ossington is the second location of the MSSM series of restaurants. It is also sister to the only Michelin 2-Star restaurant in Canada, Sushi Masaki Saito. MSSM group aims to combine traditional and authentic Edomae omakase with a modern twist by applying Chef Masaki Saito’s techniques. Our goal is to enhance the competitiveness and accessibility of this authentic Japanese Omakase dining experience to customers.
Job Title: Busser
Position Summary
Providing drink-service to customers. Able to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service. Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are also essential for success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
Greeting customers, interacting with customers, taking drink orders.
Accurately inputting drink orders into the POS system.
Serving water and drinks, clearing plates .
Periodically checking on customers to ensure their satisfaction, refilling drinks.
Processing payments from customers and troubleshooting any issues that may arise with payments.
Keeping work area clean, tidy, and stocked with necessary supplies, maintaining a clean workspace.
Upselling. Recommending menu items, specials, or promotions to customers in an effort to increase sales and revenue.
Collaborating and communicating with kitchen staff, to ensure smooth flow of service.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service is an asset
Knowledge in Japanese cuisine and culture is an asset
Able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment.
A keen eye for details and accuracy.
Good time management skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
Smart Serve certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
