We serve enterprise clients across North America with implementation, advisory, and support services, and we are aiming to expand into Mendix platform license resale.
About The Role
This is our first dedicated sales hire. You will not be joining an existing team – you will be building the sales function from the ground up. That means creating the pipeline, defining the process, selecting and configuring the tools, developing the playbook, and closing deals. This role requires some travel to attend business conferences and client or prospect locations across North America.
What You Will Do
Your work will span two primary revenue streams, each requiring a distinct selling approach.
1. Consulting Services
- Identify, prospect, and close consulting engagements with enterprises that already use the Mendix platform or are evaluating low-code solutions for digital transformation.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close for engagements typically ranging from $50,000 to $300,000.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline sufficient to achieve annual revenue targets.
- Develop relationships with C-level executives, IT directors, and business unit leaders within target accounts.
- Collaborate with Golden Earth’s delivery team to scope projects accurately and set appropriate client expectations.
2. Mendix License Sales
- Identify enterprises and growing businesses that would benefit from adopting the Mendix platform and sell Mendix licenses as a future channel partner.
- Position Golden Earth as both the license provider and the implementation partner, creating bundled engagements that combine platform access with consulting services.
3. Sales Infrastructure
- Design and implement the company’s CRM system, pipeline stages, and reporting cadence.
- Create sales collateral including pitch decks, case study frameworks, email sequences, and proposal templates.
- Define and document Golden Earth’s sales methodology, ideal customer profile, and target account criteria.
- Establish outbound prospecting workflows and measure their effectiveness over time.
What We Are Looking For
1. Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years of B2B sales experience in IT consulting, enterprise software, or professional services, with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- At least one role at a startup, small company, or early-stage business unit where you built or significantly improved sales processes without relying on existing infrastructure.
- Experience managing full-cycle enterprise sales from prospecting through close, including deals in the $50,000-$300,000 range.
- Ability to engage confidently with C-level and VP-level technology buyers in discovery, presentation, and negotiation settings.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and willingness to configure and administer the system yourself.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
2. Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with low-code platforms (Mendix, OutSystems, Power Apps) or the enterprise digital transformation landscape.
- Experience selling into North American enterprise markets, particularly in manufacturing, financial services, or government.
- Knowledge of consultative or solution selling frameworks.
- Existing network within enterprise IT decision-making circles in North America.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a base salary of $70,000 CAD plus performance-based commission with on-target earnings of $130,000 CAD. The commission structure includes tiered accelerators that reward above-quota performance, and commissions are uncapped. A detailed commission plan covering rates, quota targets, ramp period, and all terms will be provided as part of the offer package.
During the first 90 days of employment, a guaranteed non-recoverable draw ensures full on-target compensation while you build the sales infrastructure and develop initial pipeline.
