About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support business operations, technology initiatives, and process improvement efforts in our Sudbury location. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze business needs, document requirements, and support solution delivery across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business units and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of current-state vs. future-state processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical documentation for developers, QA, and project teams.
  • Support the full project lifecycle including planning, requirements, testing, implementation, and post‑deployment validation.
  • Develop user stories, use cases, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
  • Assist in preparing test plans, test cases, and coordinating UAT sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, technical design, and delivered solutions.
  • Support change management activities, training documentation, and user onboarding.
  • Monitor project progress, provide status updates, and escalate issues or risks when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency, data quality, and business processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with BA tools such as MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, or similar systems.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with business, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in industries such as mining.
  • Knowledge of data analytics or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of system integrations, data mapping, and workflow design.
  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is an asset.
